Founded in 1979, the Malawi Against Physical Disabilities (MAP) was established to meet the increasing demand for rehabilitation services in Malawi. Over the decades, we expanded our mission and services to include comprehensive community outreach programs and specialized workshops for assistive devices in the 1990s. Our commitment to education led to the launch of the Medical Rehabilitation College in the 2000s, dedicated to training and empowering the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.
Today, MAP stands at the forefront of rehabilitation care in Malawi, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a team of experts. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation services that address the diverse needs of our communities across the nation.
To provide comprehensive medical rehabilitation services to people with physical challenges, irrespective of gender, religion, race, and socioeconomic status, in both rural and urban areas across Malawi and beyond.
A Malawi where people with physical disabilities have equal opportunities and participate fully in all aspects of life without discrimination, achieving their maximum potential.
